On 20 May 2024, LOWINFOOD partner Claudia Giordano participated as an invited speaker in the Future Food Symposium 2024, in Nottingham, organised by the University of Nottingham.

In her intervention, entitled “The food waste debate within contemporary food systems: state of the art and criticalities” Claudia illustrated the current state of the art of food waste at the household stage, where she unveiled the limitations there are for accounting methods, comparability of data and innovations’ evaluation of impacts. She also offered a brief focus on the LOWINFOOD innovations to help reduce at-home food waste, and the project monitoring and accounting framework, set up with The James Hutton Institute under the WP leadership of BOKU, where Claudia is participating.
