On the evening of 24 May 2024, the LOWINFOOD BOKU partners participated in the Long Night of Research  (“Lange Nacht der Forschung”).

The BOKU team presented two innovations from LOWINFOOD that have been demonstrated in Austria: the Cooperation system between farmers and the food service sector and the mobile app to manage household food provisions.

Visitors could taste the delicious jams of Unverschwendet GmbH made out of surplus fruit as well as test the mobile application of “CozZo” on the spot by scanning articles and recipes for better food management at home. “We had great discussions all around the topic of food waste prevention and reduction with visitors from very young to high age. Thank you for visiting our stand! We received good feedback for our innovations and the project!”, stated the LOWINFOOD partner Silvia Scherhaufer at BOKU.
