LOWINFOOD’s results at RETASTE: Rethink food waste international conference

On October 20-21, 2022, several LOWINFOOD partners participated in the RETASTE: RETHINK FOOD WASTE Second International Conference, held in Heraklion, Greece.

Four talks were offered by LOWINFOOD partners, regarding different aspects of the research work that is being carried out in the project:

  • Increasing the acceptance of digital tools in the bakery sector as a measure to tackle food waste, by iSuN (Institute of Sustainable Nutrition) partners
  • Promoting food waste prevention competencies among employees in the food craft and industry – a contribution of vocational training to sustainable transformation, by iSuN partners, among others
  • The potential of consumer mobile applications for food waste reduction – A systematic literature review, by Tampere University and Harokopio University partners, among others
  • Measuring household food waste with a waste audit in Austria, Finland and Greece: Lessons learnt, by Tampere University, University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences BOKU Vienna and Harokopio University
