Collaborative and circular food systems to reduce pollution and improve health

On 27 May 2021, during the Green Week, a key action of the European Green Deal scheduled for spring 2021, the 5 European sister projects working in synergies (LOWINFOOD, FOODRUS, CO-FRESH, FAIRCHAIN, PLOUTOS) and an expert panel will address issues related to the sustainability of food systems at the local and regional level. Clara Cicatiello, our coordinator, will be representing LOWINFOOD in this event.
Collaborative and circular food systems can significantly reduce pollution of the environment, in particular by addressing food waste along the agri-food value chain, and can at the same time improve the health of consumers and increase the resilience of local economies and communities.
