Foresightee is a tech start-up with an experienced international team. The registered office is in Belgium and the official legal form is called BV. It’s Foresightee’s mission to prevent food waste by leveraging new technologies. Their first product is a machine learning algorithm to forecast sales of fresh produce in supermarkets. This new technology gives supermarkets a more accurate estimate of future sales. That way, ordering can be done more accurate as well, which translates into fewer surpluses that need to be thrown away. Food waste is prevented and profit margins increase.
Role in LOWINFOOD: The main contribution of Foresightee is expected in WP2, where it leads task 2.4. It is also involved in WP1, WP6 and WP7 together with all other partners.
