Hotel Thalassa is a luxurious 4-stars hotel situated on the beach of Lambi in the island of Kos. It is part of the largest hotel chain in Greece, Atlantica Hotels. The company is committed to making the hospitality sector in Greece more sustainable, following the principles of the “Better Holidays – Better World” environmental strategy. Energy and waste management, with emphasis on food waste prevention, are key areas of their activities, where they aim to make a positive impact to create change at scale – in their own operations, through their value chain and customers, and across the wider tourism sector.
Role in LOWINFOOD: The main contribution of THA is expected in WP5, where it participates to task 5.1. THA is also involved in WP1, WP6 and WP7 together with all other partners.
