Akademie Deutsches Bäckerhandwerk (ADB) is an educational institution for the bakery craftsmanship of 5 German state associations including 44 guilds and 850 businesses. ADB not only functions as a supra-company training facility but also successfully trains adolescents and young refugees with special educational needs as bakers and specialised shop assistants. Sustainability plays an important role in ADB, e.g. regarding sustainable production, selection of ingredients/suppliers, waste avoidance or residue utilisation, but also economic and health-related aspects are covered.
Role in LOWINFOOD: The main contribution of UNV is expected in WP3, where it participates to task 3.3. UNV is also involved in WP1, WP6 and WP7 together with all other partners.
